Making it up as we go along...

Creating Space hosts a group of artists and crafters for a monthly session of making, in the beautiful village of Harlton.  Since 2010, we’ve met regularly on the second Saturday of the month to work on our projects across a range of media, from drawing to textiles.  You can join us for the day, bring your project along and share the fun.

I’ve got two main projects going at Creating Space: crochet and writing. With the writing, sometimes I enjoying mashing two ideas together and seeing what comes up, and that method has worked well for my crochet too. I’ve always wanted to crochet some socks. Also, I’d heard about amigurumi crochet, where the hook is put […]

    Jane’s Quilt

My quilt started through a workshop with Carolyn Forster, organised by Cambridge Quilters, but I have found the support and interest of my friends at Creating Space integral to my keeping on going.  Although not finished yet, it hasn’t turned into an unfinished object. Utility Quilting or Big Stitch Quilting is an amalgamation of […]

  • What they said…

Some might say a picture paints a thousand words. I have looked at my pictures and they are lacking. No justice to the quality of work on show. However, I photographed the words our visitors have shared with us as a record  and this is my snapshot to share with you, my friends: ” Fabulous. Thank […]
